Below are 8 reasons this weekends game against the Jags is gonna be a great one.
1.
Pittsburgh has the No. 1 defense in the NFL, giving up just 262 yards per game.
2. Roethlisberger has thrown 32 TD passes this year.
3. Hines Ward is clutch on 3rd and 4th downs
4. Roethlisberger is the leading 'clutch' passer converting 70 passes on third- or fourth-down passes.
5. The Steelers have the 3rd best rushing defence.
6. The Steelers are 7-1 at home.
7. Pittsburgh has the No. 3 rushing offense.
8. Roethlisberger only throws an interception once every 37 pass attempts.

Oh Boy! The Playoffs are here, and we are set to play the Jacksonville Jags this Saturday January 5th at 8pm Saturday Night at Heinz Field! The Jags are very similar to the Steelers in their style of play. The Jaguars beat the Steelers 29-24 back on Dec. 16th, and ran for the most yards in Heinz Field history, 224. *gulp* They are a big tuff physical team, this will not be an easy matchup by any means.

The Ravens won a pointless game against the Steelers... Congrats Baltimore, you kinda have something to cheer about. Charlie Batch threw 2 TDs and 2 picks, completing just over 50% of his passes. But the hidden stat here is that he didn't get sacked, not once! Holmes added another TD to his successful sophmore season! The Steelers lose 21-27, and drop three of their last 4 games.

posted 12.27.07
Don't expect much this weekend, Pittsburgh is going to sit many of their starters in hopes to get them healthy for the Playoffs in the following week. Ben, Troy, and Ward are rumoured to sit this one out against the Ravens.

posted 12.23.07
Big Ben Rothelisberger has another big game throws 3 more TDs, Santonio Holmes had 133 yards recieving, but the biggest news here in my opinion is Willie Parkers broken leg injury which occured on his first carry. He is out for the season. Davenport stepped in and did a fantastic job, finishing the day with 123 yards.

Up Next is the Rams. If Bulger plays, I thinking he'll throw a few picks. Im a little nervous about Stephen Jackson, If Fred Taylor was able to run against us, Jackson probably will too. Pittsburgh SHOULD win this game.

posted 12.16.07
Well what started out to be boring, actually turned out to be a very entertaining game in the end. Pittsburgh did their best to come back, but Jacksonville was just too physical. The Jags win 29-22. Ben threw 3 TDs, Garrard threw just his second pick of the year, Willie Parker rushed for 100 yards, But Fred Taylor had a VERY IMPRESSIVE 147 yards on the ground.

It's obvious The Patriots ARE the best team in the NFL this season. even though I can't stand 'em, they are impressive. Next we face the Jacksonville Jags, who have a very similar style to the Steelers... I'm worried about this matchup very much. I wouldn't be surprised to see the Steelers drop two games in a row. I'm confident in the Steelers abilities, don't get me wrong, I just have a bad feeling about this weekend's game.

It's obvious that the Steelers need you back Troy... Get Well Soon!

I wouldn't be surprised if he's out until the playoffs. Knee injuries are tough, I've personally gone through 2 knee surguries and I know how tricky knee injuries are and how much pain he may be in. I hope it heals quickly and correctly.

It's not looking good for Troy Polamalu to play this Sunday. His knee was re-aggravated in practice this week, and swelling has returned to his knee.

The Steelers meet the Patriots in Gillette Stadium at 4:15 on Sunday the 9th. After a very exciting game on Monday Night Football, I can't wait for this matchup in New England. I'm now actually glad Baltimore didn't beat the Pats... Give the Steelers the Glory of ending another one of there coveted streaks!

I wanna see Harrison just sack Brady so hard his momma feels it
I wanna see Troy Polamalu make a pick for six
I wanna watch Willy out run 'em, and rush for 150 yards
I wanna watch Ben shake off a few would-be sacks, and throw for a 350 yds
I wanna witness Ward jack up there CBs and Safetys
I can't wait to see Casey Hampton flatten some Patty's
I wanna see Randy Moss get JACKED by Foote for trying to make a catch in the middle of the field
I wanna see Heath Miller score as 4 patriots try to hold him down as he carries them for 15 yards into the endzone
I wanna watch their uni-bomber coach with the 1983 hair cut cry las his team ends another winning streak against the STEELERS!

The Steelers played at home for the 2nd week in a row as they faced Carson Palmer and company. Well, the Steelers started off slowly but eventually picked up the pace and won easily 24-10. Troy sat this one out as he is needed to be as close to 100% for the Patriots game at Foxborro. Ben Roethlisberger accounted for 184 yds
2 TDs, 2 INTs, 13 yds rushing and, 1 rushing TD. Hines Ward led the game with 90 yards receiving and found the endzone twice! He Broke the Steelers' record for career scoring catches! The steelers rush Def was able to hold Rudy Johnson to just 34 yards rushing.

The Steelers played in the most boring MNF game I can remember... The field was HORRIBLE, the weather was extreme, and the score was 3-0. Yawn. Every November we fans cryout the same thing... LET THE HIGH SCHOOLERS PLAY ELSEWHERE.

The Steelers play the Miami Dolphins on Monday Night Football this week. We all hope to see the Steelers that are deserving of 7 wins, and not the Steelers who lost 3 games.

Apparently the formula for beating the Steelers this season is to play them coming off your bye week. The Cardinals, Broncos, and Jets all beat the Steelers coming off of their byes. The Steelers came out flat, and though they came back, it was the Jets game to win, not the Steelers game to lose.

posted 11.14.07
The J.E.T.S. Jets, Jets, Jets are expected to L.O.S.E. lose, lose, lose as Vegas has Pittsburgh favored by 9.5 points. The New York Jets are just 1-8 this season, and have lost 6 in a row. Their only victory has come against winless Miami.

LB James Harrison (who had two forced fumbles on defense and another on special teams the previous Monday), had two more forced fumbles against the Browns!!! The Steelers are an impressive 4-0 in the division and 5-0 at home. ...
Willie Parker, had 105 yards on 25 carries, the seventh running back to gain more than 100 against the Browns. ... Roethlisberger has 22 touchdown passes on the season, four more than his previous career high, with seven games yet to play. The Steelers won a close one 31-28 in one of the best games of the season.

Pittsburgh Improves to 6-2 with a "REVENGE" victory over the Baltimore Ravens 38-7. Ben Roethlisberger threw for 209 yards and 5 TDs. Santonio Holmes lead the team with 110 yds receiving and 2 Touch Downs. But most impressively was the way James Harrison performed, he had two forced fumbles, one fumble recovery, one interception and 2 1/2 sacks all in the FIRST HALF! Before halftime the Pittsburgh Steelers were up 35-0.

Pittsburgh Improves to 5-2 with a dominating performance over Cincinnatti 24-13. Pittsburgh was ablt to convert on over 70% on 3rd downs, and had 390 yards of total offence. Roethlisberger was 19-of-26 for 230 yards 2TDs & 1 INT, Willie Parker had 126 yards overall, and Ward finished with 8 receptions 88 yards and 2TDs. Ben Roethlisberger for the 3rd week in a row had a QB rating over 100, that puts him with 15 TDs, 1533 yards, and a season QB rating of 102.2. Pittsburgh now gears up for MNF against the Division rivials 4-3 Baltimore Ravens.

Wow what an exciting week for football. Unfortunately Pittsburgh loses a close one 31 to 28. Who would have thought that they'd lose to Denver who's struggled all season long? Denver converted on 70% of their 3rd downs, many of which were 3rd and long. That is why Pittsburgh lost, it was due to the fact that the Steal Curtin Defense just couldn't get off the field on 3rd downs. Jay and Ben, the QBs combined for 7 TD passes as there were no rushing TDs in this matchup. Parker almost hit the century mark on the ground and finished the day with 93 rushing yards. Ben had 4TDs 2INTS and 290 yards in the air. Pittsburgh's middle-of-the-field pass defense seemed porous as Brandon Stokely lit it up.

Troy Polamalu is rumored to be able to play in the Denver game scheduled for the 21st.

posted 10.07.07 - Seattle vs Pittsburgh
Troy Polamalu sits this one out but it doesn't matter, Health Miller scores, and Davenport scores twice on the ground and Pittsburgh wins easily 21 - 0. Pittsburgh now heads into their bye week where they hope to rest and get a few guys back who were out with injuries. Hopefully they prepare properly for Denver as this seems to be a "trap game" for Pittsburgh who may have a hard time running the ball in Denver.

posted 9.30.07 - Pittsburgh vs Arizona
Pittsburgh was off to an early lead and was leading 7-0 on through half of the 3rd quarter, then Arizona took over and won 21-14 in pittsburgh's toughest game of the season thus far. Pittsburgh now looks forward to meeting Seattle. Hopefully Troy Polamalu recovers from his injury quickly and can play in this super bowl rematch from a few years back!

posted 9.23.07 - Pittsburgh wins again
37-16 Pittsburgh easily handles San Fran! Allen Rossum scores an exciting 98 yard kickoff return! Jeff Reed kicks a bunch of field goals, and Bryant Mcffadden score on an INT.

Rookie Tight End Matt Spaeth, who has two touchdown catches in his frist two professional games, might be out for this weekends game against the Niners.

James Harrison LB is feeling much better after a scary neck injusry against Buffalo last weekend. He we through full practices this week starting on wednesday and should be starting against the Niners on Sunday

San Francisco vs. Pittsburgh. Pittsburgh is heavily favored by 9 points and should easily win this game, thus giving the steelers a 3-0 start...not too shabby considering the majority of the "so called experts" picked baltimore to win the division and had Cincy going in as a wild-card... I know its early in the season, but ya really gotta love pittsburgh's 60 points to their opponents 10. The Steelers D is back, and even though Frank Gore is considered a premiere RB, he's gonna have a real tough time getting 80yds rushing this weekend.

San Fran's Offense has been pretty bad thus far, and I highly doubt it'll get any better this weekend. Alex Smith QB has just 252 yds passing in two games. Pittsburgh should win, and win big this weekend.

Pittsburgh Is Going to the Super Bowl!

Pittsburgh and Seattle, for the 40th NFL Super Bowl! It should be a great match-up between the classic Steelers Defense vs. a prolific yet unique run first west coast offence. Seattle has the league's MVP, while the steelers have 5 quality Pro Bowlers. Who will win? What's the spread? What type of game is it going to be? Well one thing is for sure, its going to be a very exciting, intense football game, that just might come down to a game breaking play made by none other than Troy Polamalu.

Who Will Win...and why

Seattle has the leagues MVP, S. Alexander who's an incredible regular season RB. His post season performances though, haven't been so great. QB Matt Hasselback is finally showing the league what his full potential is, and is having a career year. A lot of that credit is due to the Seahawks effective running game and WRs who are finally holding on to the ball, which is what has been their problem for the past few seasons. Their Defense is also very underrated, as we saw in Sunday's match-up against Carolina, they were able to hold Steve Smith and the rest of the Panthers offence to just 14 points.

Pittsburgh has both an effective running and passing game. Many people see the Steelers as just a run first offence with a great solid Defence to keep games close. But this post season it's been the passing game that has allowed Pittsburgh to be so successful in scoring points. Heath Miller, the rookie TE, has been a key factor in their success. He is very reliable, strong enough to get the extra yards and has great hands. In order for Seattle to have success, they'll have to do a real good job of keeping his touches to a minimum.

Pittsburgh has too many weapons, Ward, Randel El, Morgan, Miller, Bettis, Parker, oh yeah and that QB who goes by the nickname Big Ben. Ben Rothlisberger is now the healthiest he's ever been this season. This extra week off will allow him to fully heal, and be unstoppable against Seattle. I look for Pittsburgh to have too much firepower on offence and defense for Seattle to handle and should win by at least a Touch Down.
